Ski touring, also known as backcountry skiing, combines elements of Nordic and alpine skiing and embraces such sub-disciplines as Telemark and randonnée. It´s a great way of exploring remote mountain areas and being in deep contact with nature. Instead of using ski lifts or other means of transportation, ski touring involves going uphill using skins, a piece of fabric attached to the base of skis to prevent them from sliding back when climbing up a slope. Before skiing downhill, skins are removed, the binding is adjusted and then you are ready to enjoy downhill in the flawless mountain terrain.

Being guided by our experienced instructor, you can be sure that you won´t get lost. Vice versa, he will show you the best routes, and mountain views that the Giant Mountains offer. It is up to you, whether or not you chose from a half-day or all-day trip. It's up to you whether you choose a private trip or a group trip.

SKI TOURING TOUR - EVERY WEDNESDAY!

A full-day alpine trip with a local guide, during which you will get to know the Giant Mountains from another angle. The specific form of the tour is chosen based on the experience of the participants and the current snow and weather conditions. There is one thing guaranteed – lunch will be ready in one of the selected Giant Mountains huts. In the afternoon, you will learn the elementary lesson about avalanche issues and try out how to work with an avalanche finder, shovel, and probe. At the end of the trip, you will enjoy a downhill back to Špindlerův Mlýn. The tour is appropriate for beginners and advanced ski alpinists. We always pay attention to an individual approach to each participant.

Time required: 9:30 - 16:30

Recommendations for participants: winter sportswear (outer waterproof/windproof jacket), headgear, gloves, goggles, a bottle of water, a small snack

The price includes accompaniment and instruction of ski touring under the guidance of an experienced instructor, avalanche mini-workshop, or a rental of a helmet or backpack.

EVENING SKIALP TOUR - EVERY THURSDAY!

Don't know what to do with the mountain evening? You have already tried wellness, clubs, sledges, and there are no more ideas on what to do next? We have an offer for all adventurers! An evening ski touring trip to one of the Giant Mountain huts! After a hike, you will treat yourself to a well-deserved dinner and then enjoy downhill back to Špindl in the light of stars and headlamps. A local guide will accompany you along the way to help and advise you when needed. The trip is suitable for advanced and beginner ski-mountaineers.

Time required: 17:30 - 21:30

The price includes escort and instruction of ski mountaineering under the guidance of an experienced instructor, approach transport by minibus, "welcome drink" at the mountain hut, rental of a headlamp Ledlenser, helmet, or backpack.

Ski touring equipment includes skis, climbing skins, boots, ski poles.

The price does not include the possible use of a cable car or bus to overcome the elevation.

We reserve the right to change the day of the event depend on the current weather.

The minimum number of participants is three people. Suitable for children from 12 years. 

PRIVATE SKI TOURING TRIPS

We plan the tour based on your requirements. You choose the day and time yourself.

• accompaniment and instruction of ski touring under the guidance of an experienced instructor (how to work with climbing skins, a technique of walking and descent)
• a variant of half-day or an all-day trip
• use of cableway or bus to overcome elevation (not included in the price)
• the choice of the route is always with regard to the physical fitness and experience of the group

It is a matter of course, that you can borrow complete ski equipment from the top of brands such as Scott, Völkl, Dynafit, and others. 

• The basic gear includes: touring skis, touring bindings, climbing skins, telescopic touring poles, touring ski boots.

Prices of corporate events (teambuilding) are calculated based on the difficulty of the event and the specific requirements of the client.
